The X Pass provides a quick way to pass while keeping on the outside of the opponent's legs. One common way is to pinch the knees together while kicking backwards to the ceiling to clear any guard and then stepping into knee ride. Another variation is to place your hands on his hip and nearside knee and move around to side control or knee ride.
